The chemicals
used in the creation of meth are dangerous by themselves. In combination, they
are still potentially lethal. Once a person has been using meth, they will
often develop sores on their face. Their jaw and other joints will begin to
twitch involuntarily. The person will speak more rapidly and may experience a
great deal of paranoia. When the high begins to wear off, the person will feel
desperate to get more. The withdrawal from meth can be painful. The person may
feel ill and have hallucinations.
Getting the money
to maintain the high is often a challenge for meth addicts. Because it is so
easy to recognize when someone is on it, they cannot go to work or other normal
functions. Often, they will resort to stealing in order to support their habit.
Some will also turn to prostitution to get the money for more meth.
This very dangerous
substance should be avoided at all costs. It rips families apart and turns
people into criminals. If you think you are addicted to meth, go to your local
hospital and ask about rehabilitation. They may be able to direct you to a drug
addiction treatment center. Find a support group in your area. Do whatever you
can to get yourself free from meth addiction. Only then can you begin to live a
full life.
